ISD: Physical model

This is shots of the final physical model that I made.  This is what I presented at TSA.  I made it so the sides open and the pop out pops out.  I'll add color for Nationals.

Here is the final renders that I have of the different sections I did. The first few are different renders of the bathroom.

The next renders are the interior including the bedroom laundry area and kitchen.  The last render is from the entrance.

ISD: Design Concept

My skill development this semester was in Architecture.  I worked on a shipping container tiny house for my TSA competition in February.  I started with a few different designs.  I played with different places for the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.  I decided to go with a pop out from the side that included the kitchen and the bedroom.  Putting the bathroom at one end and the entrance at the other.  The wall opposite of the kitchen and bedroom folded down to reveal a big glass window for plenty of natural light.  The exterior was a mute blue and the interior was white with red marble.  The natural light during the day from the window provided enough light to have no need for interior light.  At night there were strategically placed leds lights to flood the one room with light.  The leds draw their power from the 40ft solar panel that is on the roof.  The water is drawn by the water collection tank that sits at the bottom of the structure that collects the rain water that falls on the house.  It is raised on stilts with stairs that come down from the entrance.  The stairs can fold in half and slide into the house to be able to be moved from place to place.  It is also supported by more stilts on the sides of the pop out and the foldout.  It does not have wheels so it will need a special truck or train to transport it.

Today in class I had trouble focusing on one thing.  I started cutting foam for my new architecture project I laser cut wood for people but mainly cornell and also almost fell asleep in the comfortable chair.

Today in class I modeled the base line of a civic.  I got the side view and the top view correct now I just need to do the top view but I cant find a good picture for it.  I also did some laser cutting for my teacher.

Today I worked on putting the enclave on a flat plain instead of on a lake. I like it on the lake better.

Today I submitted the Scholarship I was working on and showing interest in what my teacher was doing.  It was something I didn't know and was really cool.

Today in class I worked on remaking the ground for the enclave.  I also laser cut some pieces for my class mates for their IB projects because IB students are great at procrastinating.  We are remaking both the city and the escape routes that they use by making them tunnels.

Today I wasn't in class as I was doing a presentation with my band.  It was a lot of fun.

Today in class I finished smoothing the walk through of the enclave and started animating the caves to change colors.

Today I slacked off and help people laser cut their stuff.  It was a short class and I was tired.

Today in class I went back to my architecture renovation project.  I moved it into Maya 2016 to render it with mental ray.  The better render er.  here is it now.

Today I continued with the 3d animation project.  I got the cave entrances to light up and started putting the city in.  Then the computers crashed.

Today after school I worked on the entrance to my cave.  The "Sea Weed" will glow different colors based on where cops are and if its safe.  The first picture is inside the cave looking out.  The second picture is from below it looking up and the third is from the top looking down.  It is coming along great.

Today I created a strong group with two strong modelers a fashion person and a 2d person.  We are making a civilization that started with a ship crash and they live on a pond so if cops do come they can dive under and hide in small caves.  I am working on the underwater caves.  

Areas of darker green are the caves.  There are also some small hills.  I also have some buildings made and will post those next time.

Today in class I worked on my English homework and started the walk through of my house.  Not much else though.
